The only school of higher learning exclusively dedicated to contemporary dance in France, the Cndc school offers future choreographic artists (dancers and/or choreographers) a three-year full-time training program, accessible by audition.
As part of a National Choreographic Center where international artists create and share their works with the public year-round, the Cndc School benefits from a privileged position being at the heart of contemporary creation. Its studies constantly echo the issues and innovations of the professional field.
Through physical, choreographic and theoretical practices, performance creations and specific collaborations with partner institutions, the school offers multiple tools so that each student can make his or her own way and thus be able to contribute to the vivacity and diversity of the contemporary dance.
The school of the Cndc is an institution of higher education under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The training allows the obtaining of the DNSPD (Diplôme national supérieur professionnel de danseur) and of a Licence Mention Arts, Parcours Danse, delivered in partnership with the University of Angers.
