The audition for entry to the Ecole Supérieure du Cndc - Angers takes place every three years.
Students are selected in two stages. At the end, 20 candidates are selected to join the school.
Pre-selection for the audition for the 2024-25 academic year is open!
Subsequent auditions will take place in the first half of 2027, for the start of the 2027-28 academic year.

Pre-selection based on applications

Applications (closed on January 28, 2024).
Candidates selected after pre-selection will be informed by e-mail on February 23, 2024.

Audition

Candidates selected on the basis of a pre-selection of applications will take part in the audition at the Cndc studios in Angers from 2 to 6 May 2024.
One day will be organised remotely (videoconference) for candidates from abroad.

Pre-selection based on applications

The application file consists of:

• the online form
• a presentation video:
  The applicant introduces themselves, briefly describe their background, and explains why they are interested in joining the Cndc school.
  This video must be filmed in a quiet place so that the content is perfectly audible.
  Maximum duration: 2 minutes.
• a dance video:
  It can be an excerpt from a piece choreographed by the candidate, an excerpt from a piece choreographed by a third party, or an improvisation.
  Maximum duration: 1 minute.
• a written reflection based on this quotation:
  « Problem: I arrive at the studio, and I have a plan, I want to move (I know that’s what’s I do in here, I’ve probably already imagined my movements on my way, I may still have a surplus of energy to spend); I also enter with the habits attached to this time of arrival in the studio (I’ve taken yoga classes, floor bars, a host of technical classes that have taught me to stretch, to listen to my breath). In short: I’m worked on by the movements to come (the choreography I’ve come to rehearse, the common gestures of my practice) and by movements in the past (my habits, my craft).

  The written reflection has to be between 2,500 and 3,500 characters long, including spaces.

Videos and written reflection are to be sent exclusively via the links indicated in the registration form, in the corresponding sections.
